Science Along the Magellan Strait

Sailors for the Sea board member Dr. Ned Cabot, helped sail Ocean Watch from the Falkland Islands, around the cape, to Puerto Larenas.
A self described psuedo scientist, a surgeon by training, Ned took over some of the scientific duties while on board Ocean Watch. As an experienced sailor and an active conservationist he was well prepared and excited to record data for the various ongoing projects. In the picture above, Ned records cloud observations for the NASA S'Cool Project. To read Dr. Ned Cabot's  blog about his work on Ocean Watch, click here.

Special thanks to The Tiffany & Co. Foundation and Unilever for their generous support of the Around the Americas project among others.
