Our oceans future

Journey to 2023

Sailor: (noun) a person who operates a water-borne vessel, a traveler by water.

Whether it’s a schooner, race boat, canoe or powerboat, you are part of a community. A community tied to the ocean. An ocean that provides, enjoyment, solace and, most importantly, life.

An ocean that is straining under the pressures of use.

Oceanographer Sylvia Earle says that our actions over the next 10 years will determine the state of the ocean for the next 10,000 years.

As an environmental nonprofit our goal is to change lives, protect the ocean, and build community. Sailors for the Sea’s programs are designed to propel the boating community toward a bright, environmentally conscious future.

In ten years, will the sailing community be a stronger voice for ocean conservation?

Together we can ensure that Sailors for the Sea will be even more viable and relevant – an indispensable partner in changing lives, building the healthy, diverse, inclusive, cohesive and sustainable society that cares about life on earth.

This is the bright future we share.

Sailors for the Sea’s message is clear and powerful. With your support we have the courage, initiative, vision, mission, and passion to embrace all who share this dream. Your contribution declares your role in protecting the ocean, and as our partner, on the journey to 2023.
