The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC,) is an international non-profit organization set up to promote solutions to the problem of overfishing. The MSC has developed an environmental standard to evaluate and reward fisheries. They also run an environmental certification and eco-labeling scheme for sustainable seafood from fisheries that meet this standard.
