Conservation Law Foundation is an advocate for New England’s environment, devoting a substantial portion of its resources to ocean conservation. Working in key areas such as sustainable fisheries, ocean management, habitat protection and climate change, CLF develops new tools to ensure the environmentally sound use of the ocean.
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC,) is an international non-profit organization set up to promote solutions to the problem of overfishing. The MSC has developed an environmental standard to evaluate and reward fisheries. They also run an environmental certification and eco-labeling scheme for sustainable seafood from fisheries that meet this standard.
