Hannah Stodel - Sailors for the Sea

Hannah Stodel

Born without her right lower arm, Hannah Stodel found freedom on the water growing up on the UK’s East Coast. Sailing soon became her strength and her pathway to becoming a 3× World Champion and 4× Paralympian, the only woman racing in the demanding Sonar class at the 2004 and 2008 Games.

Inspired early on by Dame Ellen MacArthur, Hannah has now turned toward her ultimate goal: becoming the first disabled female sailor to take on the Vendée Globe, the toughest solo race in sport.

Guided by her lifelong motto—“never give up”—Hannah is dedicated to pushing boundaries, inspiring others, and protecting the ocean as a Sailors for the Sea Ambassador.
